NOTE: PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY AT THE STARTING TIMES OF THE SESSIONS YOU
CHOOSE TO ATTEND. The OPENING TIME in each session will lay out the choices
for workshops/content during that session, so it’s important to show up and
sign up on time. There aren’t many rules in OPEN SPACE gatherings but this
one is important. It’s fine to be there early, though! Thanks!

Food: (meals will be $7 without pre-registration)
Saturday lunch will be a potluck meal (beverages provided). Saturday dinner
and Sunday lunch will be simple lowfat vegetarian catered meals.

DIRECTIONS:

The directions are basically the same whether one is coming from east, west,
north, or south:

Get thee to exit 398 on I-40 (about 20 miles east of downtown Knoxville)

go north on Strawberry Plains Pike
for approximately 1/4 mile

turn right on Huckleberry Springs Road
go approximately 3 miles on Huckleberry
Springs Road to stop sign

turn right on Thorn Grove Pike

go approximately 1/2 mile to the
intersection of Drinnen Road; on
the right is the Riverdale School.


THINGS TO BRING:

* a dish for a potluck lunch on Saturday
* simple food for breakfast and snacks, no kitchen
* one's own cup, plate, utensils
* music makers, drums, guitars, etc..
* comfortable/ festive dress and long scarves if you have them
* BEDDING if you plan to spend the night,
air mattresses, blankets, pillows,(washroom but no shower)
* floor pillows/chairs for seating
* candles, an object that represents "peace" to you...
* any materials you want to share about your art or work
related to peace, health and wellness...

* your FRIENDS!
* and a WILLING SPIRIT! *smile*


ALTERNATE Lodging Options, for those who don't want to sleep at the school:

All are located at exit #398 on Interstate 40:

CHILD CARE- several parents, and a teenage child or two will meet together
at the beginning of the retreat and self-organize for cooperative child care
for the weekend…

Diane Saliba Ault is a longtime community organizer, activist and artist who wears lots of hats! Her roles are many but her vision is one: wholeness for all.

She has served on the boards & staff of many church and community non-profit organizations, locally, regionally and nationally and has a passion for community-building across lines of race, class and culture.

She loves the simplicity and elegance of the InterPlay forms and wants to share them with other adventurous souls in Nashville and other parts of TN! She is enrolled in the InterPlay Leadership Program developed by Phil Porter and Cynthia Winton-Henry.
