WHAT
PEOPLE ARE
SAYING ABOUT
InterPlay:
"For
the first
half of my
life I have
primarily
been a physicist
playing with
lasers, atoms,
materials.
This kind
of work (Interplay)
is what I
want to
focus the
second half
of my life
- exploring
the physics
of the heart
and soul.
I am back
home now --
in my heart,
in my skin,
and always...
in the Dance!..."
Kevin
Meyer, Knoxville
sacred circle
dance leader
"The
retreat was
the most intense
and meaningful
couple of
days I've
ever spent.
The new confidence
in myself
to lead and
to be so well
received has
been very
powerful for
me. I feel
I'm now walking
in a new way"
Duke
Ramuten, Asheville
builder
The
whole atmosphere
was so non-ego
oriented.
You all set
a tone which
valued people's
strengeths
and allowed
the whole
weekend to
flow. You
took what
happened and
spontaneously
built on that
or shifted
things to
go with what
the group
needed each
moment. I
really want
to bring that
kind of strength
into the professionsl
world, where
I work, at
the state,
or even federal
level. We
really need
what you created,
which allows
for the magic
of creativity.
(paraphrased
comments)
from Forrest
Green, Organizational
consultant
"I
had a great
experience.
When I came
to class I
was tired
and stiff.
It
gave me time
to let go
of my responsibilities
for at least
a moment.
This
could be crucial
to relieving
the stress
and barriers
that clients
experience."
Liberty
Odom, Senior
Social Work
student at
MTSU
"Expressive
art and social
work go together
in a way...
This gives
me ideas to
develop a
relationship
with my clients.
Theis also
gives me a
better understanding
of how to
express myself
through stories
and words.
Thank you!"
Tawana
Williams,
Social Work
student at
MTSU
"This
experience
personally
has allowed
me to discover
a deeper interpersonal
relationship
with myself.
The exercises
are productive
and can be
incorporated
into not only
a professional
standpoint
but on a daily
living basis."

"Since
Sept. things
have changed.
The world is
dialing 911
in many languages.
There is a tendency
to close down,
to try and secure
ourselves. Yet
this is a time
of deeper calling,
to become part
of birthing
a culture of
wisdom, not
war, of beauty,
not fear, a
culture fueled
by creativity
and love. It
is a time to
rise above uncertainty,
despair and
disbelief and
to make space
and opportunity
to imagine and
create different
ways of living
together on
this fragile
planet."

Interplay
is being offered
in a wide of
variety of settings
as a tool to
build teamwork,
co-operation
and deeper understanding
between people.
It creates amazing
transformation
even in some
unlikely places.
A woman who
offered an Interplay
class to 21
women in PRISON
in Texas had
this story to
tell:
"These women
came up with
the notion of
playing with
freedom, and
they loved it.
Being free,
even if it's
only for a couple
of hours- it
doesn't get
any better than
that. It was
freeing for
us as well (the
women leaders/
InterPlayers
who facilitated
the group).
Makes you wonder
what we on the
outside are
doing with the
freedom we have
every day. Even
the man who
supervised it
all said, "It
was great seeing
those women
relating to
one another
that way." ...Most
everyone surprised
themselves and
one another
by what they
could do and
how fun it was.
Thank you Cynthia
and Phil and
all the other
InterPlayers
who encouraged
us to go for
it!"
