education and various healing modalities to serve as a medium to promote
social, psychological, physical and economic well-being to
individuals, families, and communities.

Vision Statement

The center will provide programming aimed at the whole of the community and will operate as a consortium using the gifts of artists, practitio-ners, counselors and everyday people for the purpose of making our city a healthier, safer, and more vibrant place to live.

It will work towards bridging the gaps between communities, provides avenues to exchange information and ideas, coordinate educational seminars, wellness retreats and provide crea-tive venues for artistic expression, all centered on issues related to overall health and well-being.

The arts will be interwoven into process therapy using storytelling, poetry,
dance and music as a way to confront life stressors.

HealingArts envisions an infusion of the arts as a purposeful technique to invoke
problem-solving skills, resolve conflict, and as a prescription to
develop healthier ways to cope with life.
