LEADERSHIP PROGRAM in the fall of 2003 -
With
the support of the national InterPlay program,
I hope to initiate a year-long InterPlay
leadership program modeled after other such
programs in other regions around the country.
(Nationwide and in Australia there are about
450 people now trained as InterPlay leaders.)
I went through the Asheville program led
by Ginny Going and Tom Henderson, and will
work closely with them and other regional
leaders to create a program that will work
for us locally. Being centrally located
in the south, I think we may attract people
who have done some InterPlay in Georgia,
Alabama and Kentucky as well as Tennessee
folks! If you want more connection, more
joy, more health, more spontaneity in your
personal and professional life-- then this
is the program for you. I loved the freedom
I felt and had so much learning through
what felt like just pure
play! InterPlay is sneaky that way!
FALL of 2003- WorldPlay:
Cultures of Peace - Cynthia
& Masanko are
putting together a Southeast tour-playing
with diversity. This will be a large public
gathering from people from all parts of
the world
concluding with performance
celebration! Who would like to play host
and work/play with me to envision/create
this one? I would like to have a planning
playgroup with people from every continent
to bring together the stories, songs, dances
and peace practices from many places to
share with our community in order to build
global understanding.

WHAT IS INTERPLAY?
An easy path to an
embodied life through affirmation, community
and play! Interplay is a philosophy and set
of simple, body-centered activities that creates
art from life in solo, partner, and group
play. It invites us to make stuff up in the
moment, to have fun, laugh with others, discover
ourselves, and claim body wisdom as a path
to having grace, ease, and fullness in our
lives. InterPlay emphasizes the power of affirmation
and re-teaches adults the ability to be spontaneous
that profound process of using ones
inner resources to interact with and enjoy
the world. It is accessible to people of all
ages and abilities and has been used with
folks from 5 to 85

WorldPlay:
Cultures
of Peace
Let's
create a forum for cross-cultural understanding
here in Nashville through the sharing of story,
song and dance. Let's honor the truly multicultural
community we are blessed with through the
process of reclaiming these ancient ways of
healing in community.
Please call and share your ideas with us about
this as we begin to build a team to envision
and play with this theme.
