Angela Holley is a recent graduate of Interplay’s Leadership program.  She is creator of the critically acclaimed “Holley’s Country Follies” and  “Wildwood Flowers: The June Carter Musical”.  Holley is an award-winning actress who has been in show business for over 15 years.  Her professional theatre experience includes leading roles with Old Lyric Theatre, Mainstage Theatre, Shakespeare Carolina, Charlotte Repertory Theatre, Riverwalk Theatre, Springer Regional Theatre, Actors Theatre of Charlotte, and Children's Theatre of Charlotte.  Holley has also done multiple television commercials and industrial films.  Angela's extensive work experience includes owning and operating Cabaret Creations of Charlotte, NC, where she created, produced, and performed a variety of cabaret shows for multiple venues.

Singin Swing”, a show with female performers (including herself) singing and moving in 3 part harmony to the jazz standards, was the most popular of these.   Most recently she has begun taking her spiritual life and her own music more seriously composing several “spirit songs” as part of the journey to share with others.  Eight of these are available on her CD, a simple piano and vocal rendition, called “Simply Me”.  In addition, she enjoys singing and harmonizing as part of the group Pacha Mamas (Deirdre Jenkins and Vivian Slade).

Angela has had several house concerts (at her own house) and hopes to continue this tradition with other artists as well.

Angela has a special connection with Sudan having spent time there as a teenager while her father worked on a National Institute of Health project.  She is currently planning a benefit for a couple of organizations that her parents are still connected with there (www.motherswithoutborders.org/sudan_safe_house.php) She is also in the process of creating  a new show, Goddesspell, an entertaining, informative, and inspiring multi-performance art celebration of the feminine energy/divine that is gaining strength and helping to heal the earth. The intention is for this show to have equal success to that of a commercial theatre piece, raising the consciousness of large amounts of people and raising large amounts of money for organizations that are facilitating similar kinds of healing.
