About Our Services

Plan an InterPlay experience for your group!

InterPlay has been used in a variety of settings including family reunions, birthday and other celebrations, staff development with non-profit, health, and education and arts groups.

There have even been InterPlay sessions done in a women's prison, and with mental health groups. The InterPlay forms are wonderful for quickly building a sense of community. Let's explore together how InterPlay can bring more ease and fullness into the life of your group!

Diane Saliba Ault is a longtime community organizer, activist and artist who wears lots of hats! Her roles are many but her vision is one: wholeness for all.

She has served on the boards & staff of many church and community non-profit organizations, locally, regionally and nationally and has a passion for community-building across lines of race, class and culture.

She loves the simplicity and elegance of the InterPlay forms and wants to share them with other adventurous souls in Nashville and other parts of TN! She is enrolled in the InterPlay Leadership Program developed by Phil Porter and Cynthia Winton-Henry.

Background

InterPLAY! is a philosophy and set of simple, body-centered activities using movement, story, song, stillness and dance. It invites us to make stuff up in the moment, have fun, laugh with others, discover ourselves.

It was created by Phil Porter and Cynthia Winton-Henry over a 20-year partnership as artists, educators, performers and ordained ministers.

As “body intellectuals” they have written several books, lecture nationally & internationally, direct the “Wing It!” Ensemble in Oakland, CA and host several retreats, playshops and “Untensives”.

InterPlay has tried and true, simple methods that allow people to GENTLY get more of this good stuff happening in their lives.

It is not heavy, or dogmatic in it's approach, but simple, and playful, and literally ANY _BODY_ can do it! It is based on simply noticing and responding to the wisdom of our bodyselves in the company of other bodyselves in an affirming, supportive environment.

Facilitators bring only the most minimal direction to the process and the gathered group brings the content. Though there is structure and form to it, each and every gathering is unique and sometimes quite beautiful and profound.
